President
Jason launched Vertical Motion in 2006 and has since grown the business to be one of Canada’s top software and application developers. Besides running and managing his business, Jason predominantly dedicates his time to advising founders and entrepreneurs through Vertical Motion's Product Launch and C-Suite on Demand services. As a well-regarded member of the entrepreneur community, Jason plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of startups as an Executive in Residence (EiR) at Foresight Canada and a Business Mentor at Futurpreneur Canada. Jason is regarded by his peers as a practiced leader, self-starter, and visionary who effectively articulates both high-level business concepts and intricate technical details in a way that experienced and novice founders can comprehend. His strong commitment to supporting his clients coupled with his genuine care for their business creates an open space for creativity, innovation, and growth.
Bill Copeland
Vice President of Operations
Bill joined Vertical Motion in April 2021 as a Project Manager and Business Analyst, swiftly becoming a driving force in executing internal and client-facing projects. After three years in this position, Bill was promoted to Vice President of Operations, expanding his leadership role within the company. A graduate of the Energy to Digital Growth Education and Upskilling Program (EDGEUP), Bill has over a decade of experience in project management and operational oversight. Today, he leverages this knowledge to promote growth initiatives and cultivate operational excellence at Vertical Motion while satisfying the diverse needs of our stakeholders through sound communication and expert project planning. His professionalism, unwavering dedication, and adept critical thinking continue to transform Vertical Motion and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Caitlin Jermey is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with over 12 years of experience helping organizations build inclusive, high-performing workplaces. She has held senior HR roles across higher education, healthcare regulation, consulting, and corporate environments, supporting everything from talent management and employee engagement to organizational design and leadership development. Known for her empathetic approach and strategic mindset, Caitlin partners with leaders to create people-first strategies that drive culture, performance, and retention. She is passionate about building systems that support equity, belonging, and long-term organizational success.

Wes joined Vertical Motion as a Business Development Specialist, bringing 13 years of entrepreneurial sales and leadership experience as a two-time founder and operator. With a background spanning retail and startup environments, Wes specializes in building partnerships and leveraging real-world connections to support sustainable business growth. Having owned and operated businesses himself, he brings a client-first philosophy to every engagement, guided by trust, practicality, and long-term outcomes.
