FestFinder is a growing iPhone app to allow Fringe Festival attendees to keep up on the latest news, decide between available shows, block out a viewing schedule, and quickly fire off their plans to a friend so they can coordinate an evening of entertainment. Starting with the Calgary Fringe Festival, this app will grow to include other festivals and develop from year to year.
The app aggregates festival blogs, twitter accounts, flickr, and facebook feeds so that breaking news is close to hand. But most importantly, detailed show descriptions and schedule information is available at the touch of a finger, and building a personal itinerary couldn't be easier. The app will warn you if shows conflict in the calendar, to make sure you have enough time to attend everything you want. And keeping your friends included is as easy as the click of a button!
- LATEST NEWS: keep in the loop with all the Festival's updates, and fire back your opinions through the twitter and facebook interfaces!
- SHOW DETAILS: view all the available shows by timeline or alphabetically!
- SCHEDULE ITINERARY: with the click of a button, add a show to your itinerary. "Collision detection" prevents double-booking.
- SHARE SCHEDULE: once your evening's entertainments are squared away, get your friends in the loop by exchanging their schedules.
- GROWING: updates will add future festival cities and events to the app, and annual refreshers with the new year's festival circuit!
